Meet the RBT
My background working as a Nursing Assistant at various Orlando hospitals and my passion for patient care led me to the field of ABA. I began my journey at Florida Autism Center where I earned my license under the supervision of amazing BCBAs who handed down techniques and lessons that helped me to be the compassionate and careful RBT I am today. I love what I do and making a difference in children’s lives to help them reach their full potential. ABA is a growing field and I am ecstatic that I get to be a part of it, hopefully, I can merge the field of ABA with dentistry and make a difference in the underserved community of children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Where it all began…
Florida Autism Center June-August 2023
I began my training at Florida Autism Center in the summer of 2023. Here, I earned my certifications and license while gaining real-life experience before providing direct care. Once licensed, I worked with multiple clients a day; ranging from ages 2-10, and a variety of problem behaviors. I gained valuable experience and even aided in an art class initiative that allowed clients to creatively express themselves and replace problem behaviors with appropriate ones.
Building Blocks Behavior Interventions August-December 2023
After transitioning to my second clinic, I worked with various clients and increased my direct care experience while working alongside my BCBA. I adapted to new team strategies and environments efficiently and traveled from different clinics to provide care.
Currently…
I am now working with FoundArt Academy working as an RBT providing in-home services. Although this was a new challenge for me, I was able to quickly adapt and learn how to best provide care in the home environment. I have been working with the same client since I started and have made great progress just within the first month.
