Giving Back

An essential part of being an active leader in your community is giving back to the world around you. I have been able to be on the headlines of medical initiatives that raise money for heart valve prostheses and infrastructure. I also give back to my local community by volunteering at Loggerhead Marine Life Center and local hospitals.

FlowLeaflets Outreach 2023-present

I am extremely grateful to be on the founding board of FlowLeaflets, a non-profit organization that donates 100% of our sales to heart valve prostheses and infrastructure building in third-world countries. I volunteer my time attending various medical conferences and advocating for our organization while increasing our sales. I also am in charge of our social media and creating content to expand our reach to a larger audience to increase our impact on the medical community and the world.

Education Docent at Loggerhead Marine Life Center 2019-2021

I have over 150 hours serving as an Education Docent at Loggerhead Marine Life Center. As an Education Docent, I remained up-to-date on medical procedures and reports on our sea turtle patients to educate the public on how our patients became injured and how we can prevent this through conservation and compassion.

I also donated one of my artworks I did in thanks to all that I have learned at LMC, which now hangs on their walls to this day.

Volunteer at Memorial Hospital West 2018-2019

As a young and curious student, I began volunteering at Memorial Hospital West during my sophomore year of high school. I worked at the front desk of the Emergency Department and learned useful patient care skills and technological resources that aid in patient check-in. I volunteered over 100 hours here and gained valuable connections with passionate healthcare workers.
